Changes to Mangage Orders area in v 4.1.6

Hello gang,

Treading on dodgy ground here but I have to comment that whilst testing a sandbox version of 4.1.6 I have noticed a big change in the way orders are administered. Is it an i-frame or something that now opens when you click on an order? Whatever that is called I don't like it!

I'm sure there are logical reasons for having changed this, but here are my reasons for not liking it:

1. The frame appears with handles in my browser (it doesn't quite fit in it's box and looks like some sort of clunky screenshot) and I don't understand why the menu from the user side needs to be displayed on the left as it doesn't appear to be useful. Perhaps somebody could explain to me why this new presentation method was chosen?

2. I have to do more clicks than before to get to see and edit the listing that the order refers to. Not good for me as I nearly always need to edit our listings to conform to our style and content rules (we're a newspaper).

3. It makes me nervous to think that with each new release large changes can happen to the interface like this. There is no documentation of interface changes (only file changes) in the changelogs or more to the point, the user base of 68classifieds is not consulted as to what changes they would like to see or have implemented. Would it not be possible to poll us for example, before implementing these types of changes.

That's all really, and I hope I haven't annoyed anybody with my comments!

What version was you using before?

As for your comments we do listen to customers and that is a big reason we added the new feedback system. That way we can idea of what everyone is wanting.

This was added so that you could see the listing as it appears on your site without being approved. It was a simple template change to add this and can easily be removed back to the way it was.

To be honest I didn't think that change was even worth noting and from the svn log this change was 8 months ago. You are the first I have heard make a complaint against it. But none the less we are always open to suggestions.
