Default SEO and Mod Rewrite

Hi, does anyone know if this is possible in the mod rewrite rule to include the city and state in the url...or does this have to be added in the code and if it does where would I add it to..hopefully someone can help me out.

I would say it is possible although not very easy. You would have to edit the function listing_url($row) inside the seo mod hooks.php file.

Then probably edit the .htaccess file to accommodate your changes.

Has anyone done this I would love to see an example, plus this would be an excellent tool so that google can crawl your site and have phenomenal search results.

I don't see how this will help search engines crawl your site and nor will it have any discernible impact on the rankings of your site. Urls are generally changed to make them more human friendly to remember and type. If SEO is your goal this may be more helpful.

I notice when people are searching for items in their area this helps out a whole lot, when I reviewed my site statistics I notice people are looking by city and state..

Yes but the fact your url has these cities in them has in practical terms no impact on on search engine rankings. What it does have an impact on is user readability and in this case it gives you good clues as to what you should be optimizing your site for in terms of page titles, meta descriptions and content to achieve good rankings.
