Default Uploading attachments

Hi, I am back again!!

I have just started to use v 4.1.3 (designer) and I am wondering if its possible to offer users the option to upload an attachment rather than a photo?
Its so that event organisers can upload a schedule and entry form for the event, on a word document or an exell spreadsheet.
It may well be possible but I am missing it with the new admin layout!

Hope everyone is well

You can allow file uploads by using an extra field.
Extra Fields - 68 Classifieds

Select the text option then choose file upload.

Fantastic, thanks a lot I had not thought of doing things that way

One other little thing I cannot find is the backup for the database, will the old one work with this system if I just upload that file and set it as a cron job?

Honestly I am really not sure. You could always try it. From memory the backup script would work for some and not for others and that is the reason we scraped it from v4.1.x. Also you can do it from phpmyadmin and we have instructions here:
Database Backup with PhpMyAdmin | 68 Classifieds Blog & News

You can also try a third party script like this:
db_backup
