Email address not appearing in emails

All of the emails sent by admin ie: "New Order", "Order Receipt" etc do not have the users email address in the body of the message. The label is there but it doesn't seem to be retrieving the data from the DB.

Any ideas?

edit the email template and change the smarty variable {$fromemail} to just {$email}
