Default Localhost license expired?!

Hi,

I got this message: Your license has been disabled. Please contact 68 Classifieds for support.

I'm trying to build another 68classifieds site on localhost and then - when it is ready buy a license key from you to publish new site on web. So is it possible to have 2 (or even more) 68classifieds installed on localhost?

Regards.

When installing on localhost use the license key "localhost" and delete the license/key.php file.

Also it does check you are accessing the site through http://localhost/path/to/script/

Hi,

thanks for the quick reply. The key.php is deleted. It still says that "License Disabled" - what else can I do. Is there a rule for only one localhost license - because the other site on my localhost runs normally.

Regards

Can you open the connections/classifieds.php file and post here what you have for the license key line?
Also post the local url you are trying to use.

Hi,

classifieds.php:

//license key
define("LICENSEKEY", "localhost");

the urls are

http://localhost/mysite
or
http://www.localhost.com/mysite

neither work

"mysite" is actually "tradehorses" if it is necessary for you to know the exact local site url.

Can you create a new php file named test.php and include this:
PHP Code:
<?php
echo 'Host is: '$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'].'<BR>';
?>
Then open it in the browser and report back what it prints on the screen.

Everything looks correct. I guess my next questions will be basic but hopefully make sure we have everything taken care of.

1. What version are you installing? (v4.1.2)?
2. You did the license/key.php file. Correct? If so can you double check it hasn't been recreated?
3. Once you delete the license/key.php file only access with http://localhost no www.
