Default Do I need a Sitemap?

Do I need a sitemap? I checked on Google and found the following data. It seems most pages are being crawled. The one thing that bothers me is that out of the 37 links Google shows, only about 8 are relative to my site content. I know for certain there are well over 20 relative links they do not show. Will a sitemap show links they are not currently picking up? I would also like some feedback on my site. Dog2Go, FREE Classifieds, Puppies for Sale, Dogs for Sale

Google Overview shows no errors when they crawl my site.
Google Content analysis showed 2 Duplicate meta descriptions, 3 Missing title tags, 2 Duplicate title tags.
Google Crawl Stats show:
Number of pages crawled per day
Maximum 419
Average 72

Page Rank shows to be on the high side of low, near going into medium.

Google links show 37 external links.

Many thanks,
Ryan

Ryan,

I don't think it would hurt to have a sitemap. There is a sitemap module floating around some where on these forums. I will see if I can dig it up.

If you want a complete site map where you can edit and prioritize the entries then best to buy a product for the job which will crawl your whole site and obey robots exclsuions, etc. There are plenty out there.

Personally as I use mac osx and prefer to generate it locally on my own machine, I use iGoomap which works great making a complete site map in a couple of minutes on fairly large sites. A popular one is Create your Google Sitemap Online - XML Sitemaps Generator . I know several people using this successfully.

I used to regularly submit sitemaps but have not bothered doing that for 6 months or more. I see no difference in the ranking of my site by doing it only very rarely.
