I myself as the administrater of my site need to post ongoing ads. Do I need to create a user with the name "Admin" (this is what I was going to do) or is there something in the control panel that already allows me to post as the administrater if I'm logged in?

Log into the site like a normal user would using the administration username and password.
Then you can just post like you are a user.
