I am about to change the ad listing packages I offer. I'm wondering what will happen to the existing ads that have already been placed. If they just run until they expire that's fine. But what will happen when they get the renewal notice?

I do not want to show the "before" and "after" ad packages all together in some sort of transition phase either.

I'm new to 68classifieds so just not sure how it will respond to these kind of changes.

Good question. The way it is setup users with ads already placed will get the modified package. Since they are tied to it if you change it later then that is what they get when they renew or modify the listing.

What you may want to is disable the package but not delete it and add a new one.

So I dont' see a disable option when I'm modifying my listing packages under Manage Products.

I went in and unchecked all of the categories and subcategories for the one I want to disable. Is that the best way to do it?

You are right. I thought it had a display option but do not see that. It sounds like that needs to be added.

Yes the way you did should be fine.
