Question Customer order emails

Does the script send out an email to the user when they place an order (like a receipt/confirmation with order details)?

If it does, I am having a problem with the emails that are sent out. When a customer places an order, the admin receives a "New Order" email but the customer receives nothing. I have tried both the php mailer and using my SMTP server. Other emails are working, like expire notice, contact from site, send to a friend, welcome, forgot pass, etc. I think it is only the order notices on the user end that are not working.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I am not sure this behaviour is an error. The admin receives a notification of new orders and modifications but when I make myself a user, I do not get notifications of listings that I place or modifications. I am not sure why one would want to have emails go to a user in these cases as he/she will have just added the listing or modified a listing. They can see that in their account. They were the ones who did it.

I think the order confirmation email should go to the user as a receipt, whether they placed a paid or free ad. Email receipts are expected when you place an order for something online, it makes the transaction seem complete. It seems odd that the script wouldn't send an email to notify them of their successful order, and give them a link back to the site to modify it. The rest of the script is good about sending out emails so I thought this was an error.

Is there any way to cc the new order email to the customer? I'll just change the template a little to target the user. I'll see if I can figure it out, any help is appreciated!
