Default 4.0.2 Upgrade - A word of warning!

I have just lost all my database!

Why? Thinking the file I downloaded was just an "upgrade"

I did not realise there was an "Upgrade" folder in the "Setup" folder.

I uploaded all the files and went to www.mysite.com/classifieds/setup/ and hit return ...
and followed the instructions ....

... which were for thestandard install and not for an upgrade!!

So take your time and do it right.

The setup folder handles both the install and upgrades. To upgrade you click the "Proceed with Upgrade" steps instead of the "Proceed With Installation" steps.

Also you always want to make a backup before performing any upgrades.

My post wasn't meant as criticism, just as a "take care if you're a numpty!"
