Default Newsletter MOD error

After sending a newsletter, this message showed up on the 'Email Members' confirmation page:

Notice: Query failed: MySQL server has gone away SQL: SELECT name, directory FROM class_modules WHERE state=3 ORDER BY mOrder in /home/content/a/v/b/avb613home/html/cndns/nbclassifieds/includes/classes/database/mysql.php on line 134

what exactly does this mean?

Hi,

I don't believe I have ever ran into that error message before however I did a quick search and found this:
http://blog.taragana.com/index.php/a...ing-query-fix/

My first thought is it was a host issue and if you have only seen it once then it may be an anomaly.

I guess i have to see what happens on my next newsletter campaign... hopefully this timeout is a random server lag/error instance on my host.

Thanks again.

I have not taken a close look at the code to see exactly how it handles the newsletters but I wonder if there may be any impossed e-mail limits that you host has in place than may have actually caused the time out.

Many of your typical web hosting plans throttle e-mail and only allow so many to be sent per hour or day. If something like this was encountered it very well could cause problems also.
