It would probably be a good idea to remove the 'Purchase A Membership' link from the Members Menu in the current download.

It's in the Purple template.

Update: Looks like it was removed in 4.0.1

Oooops! Sorry Eric, I've been working on my custom template which, of course, just displays what I tell it to.
