Are you referring to your web hosting control panel or are you referring to the 68c administration?

Are you referring to regular email or are you referring to private messages within 68c V4?

Please help us help you.

Thanks,
-Mike

Default email

sorry about that I wasn't very clear.
I have hosting through 68 classifieds. Under the control panel for the hosting is were I went and set up 1 of the 5 offered email addresses. I made sure it says mailbox enabled. then it allows you to test send email to this address. I did that but have no idea where to find the email. In the control panel there is the option services and under that mail. I go into mail and then mailbox, but that just takes me to mailbox management.

I spent an hour scanning the control panel to find where to check your mail with the address you set up.

on my website under the contact us page, I sent a few test emails but have no idea where they go? One came to my home address and the others ????

So I need to know two things, where do I find my mail in the host control panel and how do I know and make sure the contact us page is sending the mail to this address.

Thanks for any help. I am really new at all this so be patient with me

ymac,

I don't use 68c hosting services, however I can probably at least shed some light on your issues. First the hosting control panel is NOT where you would get your mail. It is for setting up services, etc for your web hosting account. In the area where you set up your email address, it should state what your settings are. For instance, if you set up [email protected]. You should see settings for your mail server such as pop mail server (for receiving mail) and SMTP server for sending your mail. When you set up the specific email address you should have also had to assign a password for that email address in order access that account. A typical web hosting mail server settings would be similar to this:

pop server (receiving email): mail.yoursite.com
SMTP server (sending email): mail.yoursite.com

For the specific account (email address)
user: [email protected]
pw: blahblah

Now you configure your email client on your desktop computer, such as Outlook Express, Eudora or Thunderbird with the settings above to get and send your email.

Hope that helps. If you still can't get it, then I would suggest that you make contact with the information provided to you when your web hosting account was set up.

Cheers,
Mike
