Default RC2 Contact the Owner error

My V4 RC2 has had the bug fix applied to it so you can email the owner using the form (previously it filled out a field with your email).

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work at all now, it just seems to refresh the CAPTCHA image.

The nonrmal 'Contact' form however works fine

Is anyone else having this problem?

Cheers

Tim

Sorry michael, I mean the 'contact the owner' form at the bottom of each listing.

I see you haven't applied the RC2 file swaps so you still have the email address filled in on the form here:

Actually Tim I have upgraded the files as Eric outlined in his v4.rc2 post. However, I'd guess that you're using the default template as it seems that was the one with the amended file.

Honestly, 'contact the owner' does work for me although each message is counted twice (I have reported this as a bug).

There is no captcha image though - should there be? If so, and if it's included in the default template, then it certainly isn't there in the purple template.

Tim, I am having the same problem. I am using the default template and every time I complete the "contact the owner" form, it refreshes the screen with my inputted data and does nothing.......and I DID upgrade all of the files that were changed to RC2. I actually did a full, complete install of RC2 to ensure all reported bugs were worked out. It seems as if RC2 was published soon after bugs were repaired, but I am not sure if the fixes were put into it or coming out in RC3.

I'm actually using a modified version of the purple template.

If you'd like to use the security image on your site Michael, go to:

settings > User Registration Fields > security image

this will enable it on all the contact forms

I saw the modified bugfix file in the default template, but assumed it applied to all templates as the bug existed in the purple template too, so I copied the file into both directories

I already have 'Security Image' checked in the User Registration Fields. Are you saying I need to copy templates\default\contact\contactowner.tpl.php into the purple\contact folder?

Well it's working as it is but there's no CAPTCHA image.

Ah...

that's the Private Messaging system (you must have been logged in when you hit the 'Contact the Owner' text link)

I don't think anyone has CAPTCHA on the PM system because it relies on you already beinging screened/vetted as you register.

The bug i'm on about is the contact form at the bottom of a listing, when you're logged out (as a potential site browser). The bugfix removed the filled in email section, but now the mailer just refreshes when you use it
