I have had a look around the new version, admin section feels totally different in a good way.

I am probably being thick again, but I could not see how to allow posting in duplicate categories, and it only allowed selection of one when I did a test ad.

Could some kind person point me in the right direction please

No, it does not have this feature. It will support duplicating categories but not duplicating listings in more than one category. Sorry.
