Default SEO Module redirects to non existant pages

What version of 68 Classifieds are you running?
v4.1.8 Developer
What template are you using?
Custom template

Please describe in detail the issue you are having:
I just installed the SEO module, which worked fine, but now all my links won't work! I.e. category.php?cat=fish-surfboards now goes to /category/fish-surfboards.html but it's a blank page with the error message :

Not Found

The requested URL /category/fish-surfboards.html was not found on this server.

Please help!! =D

Have you cleared all browser caches? Emptied the templates_c folder?

All have you used the absolute standard .htaccess file and module?

Which version?

Sounds like you didn't upload the .htaccess to your public web directory.

EDIT: I found the problem! It was a simple error, when renaming the htaccess file, instead of it being named .htaccess it was simply htaccess

Thanks for your suggestions
