Multiple Listing renewal reminder emails

Please describe in detail the issue you are having:
Some of my customers complain that they get multiple/duplicate emails reminding them of listings about to expire. Sometimes it numbers in the 100s. I have set to send reminder emails 7 days before expiry.

When the renewal emails are sent the script changes the listing and sets a flag that it has been in sent. The only way I can think of something like this happening is if the flag isn't changing or maybe if multiple visit your site at once.

To see if it is the latter try this. Open includes/cron.php and on line 90 you should have:

$sSQL="UPDATE ".PREFIX."checkout_settings SET lastDate=NOW() WHERE checkoutID=1";
$db->query($sSQL);

Move those lines to just above line 32 -

$modules->call_hook('cron', ''); // Call any module functions
