Hey everyone,

I thought I might share a little secret and maybe help you gain customers.

There are many organizations that use proxies appliances to filter websites. Normally, any website that has a category of "none" gets blocked by many of these.

One of most widely used is Bluecoat:

Here our some websites that get blocked due to having a category of "none"

68 Classifieds Templates & Modules
ClassifiedMods

The list goes on and on. TBH, almost every single one of the classifieds sites listed in the forums is blocked.

I am lost as to why you think these sites are blocked by anyone. They show up in all major search engines and within 4 major corporations that I know about. They show up in all continents of the world. I have never had anyone say they were not able to access TemplateCodes. In 2 years I would have expected one email message to say the site could not be reached.

He is referring to the web nannies and such employed by many companies to prevent their employees from visiting inappropriate sites on the internet while at work.

Are you browsing the web from behind one? Employers can chose from predefined setting as well as add their own.

Personally I dont thinking trying to sneak your site by these devices has any real benefit, sure it no secret people waste hours at work on the web I think its safe to assume that most people using the web to list property via a classified site have access to the net outside of work.
