Two sites to review

We have just completed two new sites that are running 68 Classifieds.

Hi Guys, In a quick review of both sites, the first thing I would re-think is the color palettes. The use of almost flourescent green, intense orange and blue tends to be overpowering. As far as a preference between the two sites, I definitely prefer the CGI Expo - the use of, what I like to call double-matting with the curved edges that supports the body content looks great. The use of the colored background adds to this by pushing the main content forward. As for the choice of the flourescent green background - it really overpowers the page. Overall, it's looking good!

Very clean templates and intuitive navigation, Eric. Certainly very distintive and 'memorable' color schemes which must be a good thing.

My (very minor) Recommendations:

1. the "sign in" and "account sign up"/"logout" seem a bit out of place on the main tool bar and separated. in the upper right corner i think would be better.

2. i think the two "link to us" links near each other are unnecessary, one is fine.

3. the generic logo icon. if it's not unique, I recommend just going with the site name on its own.

4. when you "rate" a listing there is no link back to the listing on the thank you page.

5. i like the option to use your email in addition to username to log in; however, it did not work when I tried to log in with my email, just my username works.

I also like the advertising options you chose & its ease of use.

Hi! On the cgiexpo page, I like the Most Popular feature. On the php site the categories on the left is very helpful. Overall they are easy to navigate. The only thing I noticed otherwise is the combo of the green/blue/orange. Somehow they just don't seem to mix well. Maybe it is the orange on both pages that is throwing me off. Also, I do like that you kept the advertising to a minimum on the top of the home page.
