V4.0.3 - I can't believe this isn't a feature yet!

I've seen countless threads asking for this to be a feature, but every single one just gets ignored or swept under the carpet.

Why can't a user UPGRADE their advert to 'Featured' status without having to renew it??!!??

Having just released a V4.0.3 based site, i'm overwhelmed by the loss of income already, by people trying to make their adverts featured retrospectively, and bailing because it adds the renewal fee to it!

Perhaps the most annoying part, is that when they try to feature it... then back down, their advert is taken offline because their status is changed to 'Pending Payment'.

Seriously... this should be a standard feature of any classifieds site shouldn't it?


It's only since we've released our site to the public that we've realised all these bugs have been so important! I'm a huge fan of 68classifieds and the support, but c'mon guys, this should be standard surely?

This is the first I have heard of this idea. But maybe it was posted before and I missed it.

Anyway I guess the easiest way would be to add a new select field when they are in the upgrade/renew section that asks if they would like to renew a long with the extra features.

I think that would be a great solution.

Is it something you're willing to develop?

There really are a lot of threads (I won't bother listing them ) asking for this, and we've proven already it causes loss of income.

I look forward to this resolution, for us personally it can't come soon enough

Yes I will add it in. Unfortunately I am teaching a class this weekend so will be missing in action until Monday. Then we get behind on support so it will probably be toward the end of next week.
