It is possible to install 68Classified local on Window with XAMPP for translate the frontend in german and in the next step install the same licence on the Server?

Yes, many of us do this. You can install on a localhost server to do your development. "localhost" is your "license key" for a local installation.

I have a problem on installing 68c on loaclhost with xampp..

Basically, it stop at the setp "Checking Settings", beacuse it found an error:

Opening Connection: Can not open connection

How can I solve that?

The script uses fsockopen for the version check so this is checked during install.

So, how can I "skip" this step, or bypass?

If someones use xampp, I suppose they have installed on local..

WAMP works out of the box with it except for ioncube which is a easy fix.

The only way to disable it is to edit the install routine.

I solved anyway.

I backup the whole htpdocs directory from my server, and I copied under xampp directory..
Then, I change the configuration files, make a database and I succefully have my local 68classifieds web site up and running.
