Default Purchase ads in bulk?

It seems from trialling the system, that users must pay on a per-ad basis. Is there no way they can "purchase ads in bulk"?

That is, can't they buy a package, like "10 ads" or "10 credits"?

That is correct. It currently does not support this however you could always use the coupon / discount system as a work around. But it would be a manual process right now.

Default another idea on the same track

How about creating a whole bunch of ads, then paying for them in one transaction?

TIA.

Default Bulk ads purchase

I'd like that kind of function too, like an advertiser buying 50 ads for a flat fee. No, I need this actually. Maybe one of the mod developers can do something like this?

How about a system where the user can buy as many ads as he or she likes, or you can define how many. They make a purchase and lets say 50 ads are added to your product listings.

The user can then simply go into modify ads to type them out, add images and make the listing live

I think a mod that allows the user to buy coupons and automaticly be given the code should be made. Then the purchase can be doen though the 68C checkout that the users uses when making a single ad purchase.

Why dont you make that system but just dont have it automatic.

Use a basic paypal buy it now button for a group of listings that you say.

If anybody buys a package, you will get a reciept so you can create a coupon.

If you recieve a lot of reciepts, then it might be in your interests to have a module produced to automate it

Yes true but when i go to place an add on a classifieds site i expect to be able to do it instantly, i wouldnt want to have to come back hours or possibly a day later to post my adds.

Now that is an idea. Do you have something like this in the works or already made? Does your checkout module do this already?

Hiya John, no its not a built in feature, but it could be quite simple to implement. You would have to do something with the listing so the 'date added' only started from the 1st time it is submitted on the modify ads page.

This isnt on my list of things to do and I think if I was to do something along these lines then it would be to go for a fresh approach on the membership system.
