Default Permissions

Okay, I'm just about ready to purchase, but I'm playing around in the demo area and I don't see where the permissions are for a user to post. Is there an option to allow unregistered users to post?

I'm also thinking of having a basic text ad for unregistered, and image ad for registered, etc. Is this even possible. If not that's okay too. I mainly want to know the first question.

Thanks

You have to register to post an ad. Your site would be crippled in weeks by spam if you didnt require people to register.

Thanks for the reply. You're right. It was just a thought. I like how 68 allows unregistered users to post questions so I was thinking of something similar.

Anyway, to be more clear on the first question. I want to have permissions set to specific categories. Is that possible? I want a specific usergroup to only have access to a specific category. BTW this pertains to the Designer ed.

I beleive the users group is passed along to the templates so you could alter the various templates by placing checks in them and only show certain content if the member belonged to a certain user group.
