Default Fee Charging groups.

Hello

On the fee charging groups, can I set it up some how so that I can have the public advertising for free and charge dealers a fee. Also charge sponsors a monthly fee and banners down the side of the page?

Thanks

Yes, but it isn't something that is built right in. I'm not sure how you are wanting to go about it, but I would do it in this way:

Create various packages and then arrange them so that they are in groups that specific usergroups would be able to access. Then when the package is selected at templates/default/checkout/step2.tpl.php I would hide/display the packages based on the users usergroup. Now, there isn't a default way of assigning usergroups except manually at the admin panel, but you could make a form to achieve this for users.

Of course I am not sure of anyway to autobill on a monthly basis, I just use paypal and charge on a per ad basis. Perhaps a more detailed plan on what you are trying to accomplish might generate more complete responses.

For example:

I want to create 2 types of users, who can only see specific types of ad packages. I want the regular member to see only the free ads packages and the new member type to see only paid packages. Etc.

It sounds like you are also wanting to have sponsored banner ads, there are a few people using phpadsnew (Openads now), Maffo's banner module, and Adman. The solution that is right for you can only be determined by you as no banner ad system is included in the script.
