I'm just rambling, no need to agree with me......though I'd like to hear others input or ideas on this.
This morning while reading and posting to my own thread about future features for
68C..............
With additional features incorporated in future releases of
68C, I hope it doesn't make it's value price go up. The reason is that
68C is perfectly price and has just about every possible thing a classifieds site needs to be successful in administering and operating.
68C already is a great product offered at a excellent price. I think,
but this is ONLY my opinion, any major changes (not minor) maybe should be add-ons, modules and/or simple code changes for an additional fee. Whether it be a cheep modification or a luxury add-on. Though to keep up with competition and keep pricing down for number of sales. I realize over time it will have to go up to and features incorporated to keep with the current to the higher end scripts.
Why do I think this? Well first, currently....the initial price versus features that
68C has to offer, they are ahead of the game in my book. I'd really hate to see their rise in the $500 or higher range. I feel add-ons would be the better way to go to compete with the competition that is high dollar. This would help sell more of an already near perfect base script and make for more initial sales.
I know for me when deciding on this script among other things was initial price. I knew what I had to work with and it wasn't $600 dollars. So the price attraction in my range of
68C helped draw me in. Sure I'd love that $600 script.....by why? I really don't need "all" the features it may have to offer. With add-ons, I could purchase as I see needed.
With that said....I believe in the "nickle and dime" theory of my own. Sell a script for $100 or $200 and slowly draw them into a $600 to $1000 script. (that being the extra bells and whistles) Besides, this way the customer gets exactly what they need.
I know that when I finally start making some cash....my own site value may and will climb. Whether it's
68C own mod or elsewhere I get what's needed or desired and not all the extra clutter that I wouldn't use.
I hope this makes sense. Any input?
Maybe this is already part of
68C intentions or sales strategy. Either way Kudos to
68C for an already great product.
