I am not sure if anyone uses the Google Desktop Tool...but I am here to tell you... It's awesome! It now has the ability to add gadgets...(Kinda like firefox extensions). There is one in particular that I liked ...it monitors how many
hits your sites have. You can set it up to monitor multiple sites too.
It will put a counter on the page or you can set it up to be invisible.

I just installed the new gadget to the new google desktop

and then I put the code in my layout.tpl.php..it works great!
