The concepts in the module are pretty straight forward. I can speak to making the site look like you want, while many don't stray too far from the default template I have seen some very impressive sites. You can send me an email - links at the bottom of our site www.mods.auscity.com and I'll send you a link for a site made with 68 classifieds, that I like. If you are comfortable with php and smarty, with the developer version there is really no limit to what can be achieved. I wouldn't claim to be the greatest designer but I am pretty happy with how my site turned out. You never know, you might be wasting even more time testing other scripts when this one might be the one for you.

Thanks for your detail reply! I do see some of the reasons, but since I am not in the business of selling scripts, and don�t have the time nor interest of analyzing the positive and negative affect it would have on the amount of sales increase or decrease it would have, it would be a total waist of my time. At this time I have tested a few scripts and have no interest in it. I am about to start testing a new one that look very promising but also missing a category payment as this one does (witch I like) and also your mod (witch I like also) but is loaded with tons of stuff and is free to use as long as you don�t charge money. (witch makes no difference to me as I will be charging.) My main concern at this point is the ability to make the site look the way I want and be able to test payment and such to make sure I am not going to expose something to my customers that will degrade my image. The pay and refund is just too much of a headache since in this instance there are so many scripts to choose from that can be tested. While my spending time here does show some interest it is not to that extend. However, I am interested in your mod, and if no arrangements can be made here I would still be interested in applying it to some other script. I have not looked into it very deeply but I really like the idea.

Well I think they will refund you money for a limited amount of time. If my memory serves correct it is 14 days. I can speak on the behalf of trials, at least from a seller's perspective. When you offer trials you expose yourself to increased risks. The reason behind refunds - for unsatisfied customers is two-fold. First, they must provide you with the proper information, name, address, credit card, so the seller has more verifiable information about the customer. Second, you can tie the customer to the product, if they do a chargeback you can cancel the license and the script won't function. Further, by forcing customers through the order system to download the product you keep your script source out of the hands of just anyone. There is also a reduction in support, by eliminating less serious, prospective customers. I know this isn't fool proof, but it is an added level of security and comfort for the sellers. With the level of support found in this forum, you are sure to work out most if not all of your troubles with the script. FYI - Our Coupon Generator Module doesn't have a trial for the same reasons. I am glad to hear of your interest, we developed it for our own uses, as with most all of our modules. I use the coupon gen, users online, & price descriptor modules at my site. The only one I don't use is the RSS module, which was developed for another 68 Classifieds member. I know Chaslie uses both the price descriptor and coupon gen modules. We are trying to work out some way to allow open source modules - maybe providing 100% open source after 6 months or maybe getting together some agreement to mitigate the risk of chargebacks. This is still being discussed, but I think in the long run it would be much easier to support open source modules.

I�ve read some good comments about the script and the support so far, so I am quite surprise of the no reply here! One of the reasons I was interested in it was due to a �Coupon Generator mod� by juven14 (John) I was willing to spend time testing it but I stop purchasing scripts that can be tested a long time ago due to problems related to �non testable� poor scripts and refund problems. Don�t get me wrong here; I�ll purchase software like Adobe without testing it because they have a reputation, track record and product quality that is close to unmatchable. (And even them, have a 30 trial) It has been my experience that many �no trial� products policy usually have a reason for the no trial, and perhaps this script does not belong in that category and please do not take it personal, but you have to put yourself in my place also. The demo is great and without it I would not be wasting any time here, but it is like been at a dealership looking at a new car and the salesman telling you that you can look at it, sit in it, and start it, but you can�t drive it!

Well I got your email on yahoo. This is very strange that you cannot send to my other email. I was just looking at a post and was following the same process that you mention to them. http://www.68classifieds.com/forums/...ead.php?t=1147 I have the same concerns that he had to the extent that I have a site for that purposes only. If satisfied with a script and its security, I then purchase it and move it to its destination. There are so many scripts to choose from now and many of them look great at first but when installed it becomes a disaster. If you decide to let me do the same, please let me know. Thanks IC
