Yes, I believe that is allowed for all versions unless it has changed.

You can upload the second version but don't run the install, just upload a duplicate of the first version's Connections/classifieds.php. This should make both versions use the same database and tables.

With the designer version of 68 classifieds, are you able to install 2 instances of the software, on the same server/domain name.
One for the traditional classifieds
One as a dedicated business listings site
Can both instances use the same mysql database?
