Hello,

is it possible to have the global currency as Egyptian pounds and the checkout currency as USD?
the reason s am dealing in Egyptian market but am using 2checkout for listing payments, they dont have egyptian currency so i will help users check out in USD, the currency setting is global for the whole website so not sure where to edit it in the source and what to write etc... :-) hope it makes sense and thanks for taking time to read this post

If I understand correctly you can display your adverts in one currency (the advertiser enters in say Egyptian pounds) but the payment for the advert can be made in USD (or visa versa). If that is the case, I don't see why you cannot do that. It will require that you make a few edits here and there as not to confuse your advertisers but not too difficult to do.

Please post your 68 Classifieds type (Designer, Developer), version (4.0.x, 4.1.x) and template in your postings asking for help. This information will help you get better answers for your posts. A great place to do this is in your signature!

Thanks for your reply,

am using v4.1.3 the default template, can you help me out with which section to edit?

everything will be as it is apart from the checkout option when they want to have a paid listing or a featured listing it has to be in USD if they will pay by credit card.

Thanks,
Karim.

This is really beyond the scope of the forum. You need to learn the template files and what they do. You can then modify them.

Set up your paypal in USD as that is what you wish them to pay in. Likeswise your adevertising packages need to display the USD symbol. Then everywhere else in your template you need to change the dollar with the Egyptian pound.

e.g. viewlistings.tpl, showlistings.tpl, some of the checkout steps etc.

If you have a reasonable editor you should be able to find all the cases.

You could purchase my Prices module. This allows you to show all of your ad listing packages within one page even if you are a guest.

Please make a new thread or better still search the forum and tag onto a thread which is about languages. This last post is not really relevant to your original question and makes future searches of the forum less efficient for everyone.

For the 3rd time of requesting. Please post your 68 Classifieds type (Designer, Developer), version (4.0.x, 4.1.x) and template in your postings asking for help. This information will help you get better answers for your posts. A great place to do this is in your signature!
