checkout system

I have a client who wishes to use the system for just her adverts with no payment. Is there a good approach to simplifying the checkout system into say 3-4 steps. Clearly it is set up for her at the moment with everything costing zero but it would be better if she could just select the category, put in her advert, add the photos and verify. She does not need to see prices or order information, etc. The only way I can see to do this at present is to just hide (do not display) the information per step but she stillwill have to go through all the steps.

Has anybody done this?

If she (the admin) is the only one posting the ads, why not just have her do it in the admin instead of the front end? Unless I'm mistaken, then this would mean that she would only have two screens to go through. One for the ad details including category, username, ad status, order status, etc. and one for uploading any images if needed.

Yes I could do that but I have little faith that she will not push lots of buttons in other places and that will make it painful to support her. I prefer to lock her out if possible.

OK so I have simplified all my pages as it is a single user by removing redundant text for her application. It works fine. What I would like to do and ask for some advice is the following

1. combine step1 (category selection) and 2 (confirm package) into one page.
2. put step 5 (verification) effectively into step 6 (listing preview) or remove step 5 completely if possible (preferable as it always her)
3. step 6 ((listing preview) is the end and redirects back to the my account page and not a thankyou page.

Any help would be much appreciated.
