There is nothing special to do really. I first created the automobile category. Then I created the car, truck and van category and when doing so specified that they belonged within the "automobile" category. Then when I created specific makes of cars for example I specified that they were in the car category. As you create new categories there should be a dropdown which allow you to specify if the category you are creating is "top level" or set the dropdown to the category your new category will be in. The script handles the rest.

I was looking at your classified site classiford and noticed that you was able to get the sub categories to be a link along with the Categories. Would you mind sharing how you go about doing that?

For example: Automobiles is a link and below it you have cars (as a link) vans (as a link) and trucks (as a link)
