Default Install mulitple versions

My website is for local school communities and I want to have a separate installation for each community - how can I do this.
i.e. my website domain is our-stuff.org. I want Teddington schools to view a different database that Chiswick schools and Richmond schools etc.

In FAQ is says multiple versions can be loaded in same domain, but I can't find instructions how to do it.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

You would simply do a separate installation on the same domain in separate folders (directories).

One suggestion that you may want to consider, is purchasing the Sigma Series templates or the Neo2 Series templates from TemplateCodes. Classifiedmods.com

These templates also include several other modules and plugins, one of which is the "Listing Filter" which could be set to an extra field. In your case, an extra field that we call school. Your end users could select their school and then ALL listings from there on out would be filtered to their school.

In my opinion, that would seem to simplify your installation as well as your administration of the site(s).

Thanks very much for your help - I was being a bit slow on multiple install.

I think your templates/mods will be the way to go in future as there is quite a big admin overhead with the multiple installs.

Many thanks again!

You are very welcome. The products that I mentioned are not my products though. Those are offered by TemplateCodes. I recommended them, because they are what seemed to fit your particular needs.
