Please post your 68 Classifieds type (Designer, Developer), version (4.0.x, 4.1.x) and template in your postings asking for help. This information will help you get better answers for your posts. A great place to do this is in your signature!
One thing that stands out to me is that you are using <div id="left_menu_div"> twice. You can not use a CSS id more than once on a page, which is the inherent difference between a "class" and an "id".

Thanks for that, have edited my original post to include that info. Whoops, that was a typo by mistake, the duplication isn't in the actual file I am using.

I've played around some more and almost, almost have it sussed. It now appears the same in both IE and FF. The only problem is I can't get the td with the main content divs to align directly underneath the photo of the horse, as seen in the screenshot I don't know what error I have made with the table. This is the first time I've had divs nested in tables and it is really confusing me.

Use the free web developer add on for FF. It will help you so much to determine what is wrong with the css. It is packed with features. One of them is to simply place your cursor on the offending part of of the page and it will show you what css is being applied (outline - outline current element).
This is perhaps a good place to start. Making a template cross browser is no easy task. It is fraught with problems. Internet Explorer & CSS issues |
