Hello,
Recently purchased this software. I've uploaded the 'upload' folder to my domain. Hostgator instructs me to upload all public files to /public_html. I do this, and then go to www.mysite.com/setup/index.php, and I get a 404 page. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks. |

Just making sure that all the bases are covered.
1. Did you actually use your real domain and not "mysite.com"? 2. Have you registered your domain and have the name servers pointing to your hostgater server? 3. Have you tried the URL without the www?

Thanks for speedy response,,
1 - I used my real domain name. 2-I've registered my domain name. If I go to it, I get the hostgator site. I then have to login to see my control panel. It says I have name servers. 3-Yes. |

I'm chatting with hostgator support; I am gabriola:
(8:19:34 PM) Joe Co: I do not see a folder labeled setup uploaded to the server that has a index.php in it. (8:21:03 PM) gabriola: First, unzip the zip file you downloaded from the customers area to your hard disk.Upload all the files in the "upload" folder.Open a browser window and visit www.yoursite.com/setup/index.php (replacing 'yoursite' with your Domain Name). Then follow the steps. The final step after installation will be to COMPLETELY DELETE THE ENTIRE 'SETUP' DIRECTORY. If this is not done, your site will not work correctly. (8:21:15 PM) gabriola: those instructions came with the software. (8:23:19 PM) Joe Co: There is a upload folder in the public_html folder that has a setup folder in it but there is not a index.php file there. (8:23:55 PM) gabriola: Should I talk to the support for the software |
