Need help with a bug please.

After a recent upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1.6 developer, we've run into some serious issues regarding user logins and user account modifcations. This will be discussed below as the ticket was submitted to 68 Classifieds staff.

We submitted this as a ticket, but a solution has yet to be found. Perhaps some of you have run into the same problem and can help out?

Here is the ticket information and the feedback as experienced from one of our users.

Ticket info:

"Hello,

We recently upgraded from the 4.0 to the v4.1.6 version, mainly to see if
there was a better way of managing users, listings, etc., in the admin
panel. There are some good improvements, but I think we found a bug.

When a user modifies his account info, the fields then show �....� around
them. Then, when the user tries to log back in, he can�t.

Here is a user�s comment on this subject:

�I didn�t like having my address info available to see when viewing my ad.

I deleted or modified the fields to eliminate the specific address and
city, but the modifications put quotation marks around the information,
which I couldn�t delete.

At home, I�ve already had one burglary with a gun stolen and another
attempted burglary.

Just after modifying my account info, I�m no longer able to login. When
requesting my password it said, �Can�t find email address� or something like
that.

I had to request a new password. I logged in again. I modified my profile
back to my old password. I can�t login again. guncanyon.com doesn�t
recognize my email address again. The quotes are back.�

I have a screen print (if you would like to see it?) of the admin panel
user group of another user that has the same issue with the �....� marks.

Obviously we have to fix this ASAP. Maybe it�s a bug, maybe a setting?

Please advise.
