    I don't know why you cannot save the attachments in the forum but take my word for it. What you need to be doing is following the second part of the advice give by myself and by John.

    Nobody is here to develop your sites for you and especially ones that are not even 68 classifieds. The instructions on what is wrong are clear and basic. The module works but you will simply not follow the instructions or understand the problem is with your other sites.

    Go to your blog - open firefox. Set your character encoding to UTF-8 in your browser. LOOK. NO PROBLEM.

    What part of the explanation and instructions do you not understand? It is a question. Why can't you open your browser and change its character encoding settings and look at the blog you posted again? Ask some friends to look at your blog and they will not have problems because they will not have forced their browser to work in ISO character encoding only.

    As for your sites you will need to redevelop them to use utf-8 or pay someone to modify the module for you if you are unable to do it.

    So go here. I bet it is not working for you either is it but I bet it looks ok to everyone else.

    68 Classifieds Version 4 Templates - latest listing (see a bicycle)

    now iframed into (both modules in fact)

    My Classifieds Blog

    Click the blog a few times until you see a bicycle. Looks fine to me.

    CLASSIFIEDS SITE -> YOUR TARGET SITE
    utf-8 -> utf-8 YES
    utf-8 -> iso NO (this is your case - modify your target site to be utf-8)

    iso -> utf-8 NO
    iso ->iso YES ( modify module to output ISO)

    Two solutions - choose one of them. John gave you two possible solutions. changing your target sites to UTF-8 will definitely work.

    SET BROWSER NORMALLY TO AUTO DETECT CHARACTER ENCODING OF WEB PAGE.

    So you will not answer the question. 99.9999% of people all see a bicycle with accented characters in the title but you don't - ever thought it might be something to do with YOU and how you have set up your browser? This simply proves that the module works and your target sites are incompatible (also full of errors)

    PLEASE SOMEBODY - look at the blog link above and tell him you see accented characters in the title for the bicycle. He may then realize that part of his problem in understanding is he has not set his browser up properly. His test sites work as they are actually utf-8 but his real sites won't because they are ISO.

    The bottom line is the module is designed to output native 68 classifieds UTF-8 encoded characters. This implies the target site has to be UTF-8 . I personally think that modifying the module itself to output ISO is likely to run into problems as the characters have already been encoded within the database. In other words 68 classifieds is a UTF-8 based system.
  9. michael Just get on with it!
