Many apologies to the guys who installed this on the old 3.0 version and havent been able to run it on the new 3.1 version.

I have pretty much re-written the News Mod for this new version and changed the Readme.

I would suggest that if you tried to install the 3.0 version on the 3.1 system that you remove all instances of the old one before adding the new one.

I have attached some screenshots for those who want to see what the NEWS mod is all about.

Please, all I ask if you download this Mod, can you leave some feedback, how it works, any problems etc

Hello Maffo,

I opened the zip and followed your instructions to the letter...

It seemed easier to install than for the 3.0xx version. Took me a total of 10 minutes (five minutes if I had to do it again) and the end results are a great improvement...as befitting 3.1.

It looked a bit odd at first...before I added some news, but by the time I'd placed some test material the light dawned and the penny dropped.

Conclusion:- Works perfect and I am a happy bunny.

Any luck and does it work with the new version of 68? Do you have a version that has all the bug fixes and updated install instructions? Would love to add this to my site...

Good news is that I have found the news mod and am just going through it to check its compatibility with the latest version.

It will then be available for download.

The only thing you wont be able to do with the designer version, is to have the headlines on your homepage. The newspage itself however works independently.

IP does not match key file. Please try the following to try and resolve this:

Delete the file license/key.php and reload this page.
If you have changed servers please submit a ticket so we can reset your license.


This started showing up when I try to create a new article. I have not added /removed any files to the site and have not changed servers.

I don't think this is the warning generated by our modules. Can you delete the key.php file from yoursite.com/license/key.php and let me know if this solves the problem.

No effect. I thought the problem was limited to the news mod but it now seems that my site won't email out and no new members can join. I cannot manage it either. What is going on? How is my 68 licence to an IP. My host is clustered and my IP may change.

I think you should submit a ticket to 68 classifieds on this one, our module will only deactivate itself, when the license is disabled. That explains why we were having problems with the news module, I removed the requirement for the ip inlight of this new info, also I've pm'd you with more details the other day.
