Category numbers

Hi
How do I turn off the number which appears beside the category listings? And if I turn them off can I still see them in admin area? thanks

Yes, you have to edit several templates.

I'm going off memory but you should be able to find the right names based off these:

home.tpl.php
categories/maincategories.tpl.php
categories/subcategories.tpl.php

Find: ([[total]]) in these templates and either remove or comment them out. This should only effect what the users see, the admin area will remain the same.

Is it possible to turn off the numbers on only certain categories and leave it for others....??
