Maffo Banner Module

Hi,

hope I get some help from someone.
I bought this fu...ng module from maffo and do not get any support for that. He even does not response any of my messages.

I do not get this module running.

In the readme he says

NOTE. If Maffo_Banners does not appear in the Parent Category Drop Down you need to upgrade your administration/category.php to the
latest version.

But which latest version is he meaning??

I do have the latest version 3.18.
I do not see the category I should see:

How to use Maffo_banner

1. Setting up a category: In your admin panel click on 'Edit Categories'. 'Maffo_Banners' should be in there as one of
you parent categories.

Nothing.

Anyone who knows if this module is working with version 3.18?

I have it running on an earlier version and am putting it onto my v3.1.8 site tonight. I found it worked easily, but you have to follow the instructions exactly to make sure everything is done in the right order.

I did it twice and will do it one more time.
May I missed some.

I installed all new again and now it is working fine.
Don't know where the error was.

I can not upload any banner to this module.
Do I have to chmod folders?

Keep in mind that smarty compiles its templates so if you make a change and it doesnt seem to work it could be that smarty didnt automatically recompile the templates. From withing 68c admin under maintenance you can clear the cache forcing them to be recompiled or you can simply delete the contents of the /templates_c folder to acomplish the same thing.

As for using the module itself, I cant offer any help since I dont have and never used the module myself.

OK. Got it.

Maffo had to write in the instruction that the folders
modules/maffo_banners/images/default
and
modules/maffo_banners/images/default_resized

must be CHMOD 777.

OK. Some more question. Since Maffo isn't showing up any more or supports for his customers who bouhgt his module, I hope I get some answers of my questions here.

Is it possible to put only one banner in each subcategory?

Well here I am and I will gladly refund your money if youre not happy. Lets get one thing straight before you start slagging me off on this forum.

A) I dont live on my computer.

B) A few weeks ago Iwas taken into hospital

C) I am entitled to holidays, which Im taking. I will be back at my machine fulltime from september the 10th

As for your question, yes you can place banners in sub-categories as I so nicely programmed it for my customers.
