Question Multiple sites, one administration backend? - 02-19-2007, 11:15 PM

I am looking for a classified script that can be hosted on one account, with one administration backend and one database that will manage 5 different but similar automotive classified sites. I really do like this script and was originally going to be building a custom one to fit my needs but this would work if it can be used to manage multiple sites. Is there anyway possible I can do this with this script? Can it be a modification or can I work with 68classifieds to make this work for me?

Thank You

If you familiar with php and smarty I believe you can do it. Maffo did it. Check out this thread.
But remember if your sites on separate domains I guess you will need the licence for each domain.

Thanks,
Sergey

Yes Sergey is correct.

We have had customers do it but you will need a license for each individual domain name you run. Also it will take some customizing and would need to be comfortable with PHP and MySQL.

Thanks, that helps alot... If I did this on the developer version could i purchase additional licenses of the designer version? It seems like this might get pretty expensive and im trying to compare the cost of this script vs. having a custom one built.
Thanks

You would need developer files for the other sites as well. However after your first purchase we will give you 20% off any additional same product purchases within 3 months.
