We have just released an update to this module because of a bug that was found. To apply the fix download it again then overwrite the mod_user.php in the modules folder with the new one.

Be sure that you've uploaded the .htaccess file and that it + the module files don't have 0 for the file size.

Which template are you using? Also, does your host have mod-rewrite enabled?

Hi,
I just set up a hosted account with 68classifieds and bought the search engine friendly urls module. I am not a programmer in any sense and would appreciate some very basic help getting my module incorporated to my hosted classifieds. Please note I am at a very basic level so step by step instructions are always greatfully accepted. I see under the 68classifieds client area that the module is there to download. Now I need to get it from there to my hosted account and don't see a way to do that through the admin panel (without buying it again that is). I was going to download the module to my home computer, keeping it in a compressed file, the fire up the old FTP program and upload that file into some folder that I hope is on the server, I am guessing public.html? Or perhaps modules? Before I did this I wanted to be sure this would work. Then once there, how do I get it to go? If I need to make a file on the server, I am pretty sure I do not know how to do that unless it works like windows XP Thanks for any help. Doug |

The module should have a fairly straight forward readme to clear this up. Basically you just download the module. Upload it to your site, browse to Manage Modules in your site admin, then click regenerate, install, activate. That should cover it, I don't remember needing to do anything else.
