To find posts from the Old Forum cached by Google. Please read instructions below:


Step 1
Do a search on google by entering text “site:68classifieds.com/support/showthread.php”

http://www.google.com/search?q=site%...utf-8&oe=utf-8

Step 2
Add Keyword(s)
Eg: “site:68classifieds.com/support/showthread.php” + keyword(s)

Step 3
Go to the very last page of your search and click on link “repeat the search with the omitted results included "

Step 4
To view each page click on “Cached”



Example 1:

To find any posts related to “coupon”

1. Go … site:68classifieds.com/support/showthread.php

2. Go … site:68classifieds.com/support/showthread.php + coupon

3. Go ….very last page of search
"In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 176 already displayed. If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included."

4. This returns …. 308 pages from Old Forum for keyword coupon …To view each page click on Cached

Example 2:

To find any posts posted by ihotch (Repeat above steps)

Go … site:68classifieds.com/support/showthread.php + ihotch

etc....



Now Ive know doubt the steps Ive outlined above will be far from perfect …. but it should allow everyone with a bit of lateral thinking to find a large number of the posts from the old forum. The downside is that youll have to go through each page one by one.

Note: As at 19 March there were Threads: 1,746, Posts: 8,710, Members: 466 in the Old Forum

Yep - excellent call - I've been using the same method to rebuild some other "non-classifieds" sites the last few days.

Don't want to rain on the parade but the results will slowly disappear as time passes...
