Default Upgrading from Designer to Developer - how? - 03-01-2007, 03:17 PM

Assuming I backup my modified files (layout.tpl.php, home.tpl.php and style.css) is it then just a case of overwriting everything else?

Yes you can overwrite all the php files on your site with the ones from the developer download. This would include everything except the templates folder and the connections/classifieds.php

Please make sure you do not overwrite the connections file because it contains your license key and database details.

I have upgraded as you instructed, everything appears to have gone well although my system overview at /administration/index.php shows that I am still running V3.1.5b Designer

Is that normal?

That may actually be stored in the database. Did you run the install script and chose "upgrade"?

Actually that is coming from the license key. To fix it please login to our customer section and get your new license key. Next open connections/classifieds.php off the server and replace the license key.
