Default Bold listing feature? - 03-10-2007, 06:15 PM

Is it just me or does the bold listing feature not work for anyone?

I am in the final stages of development of my site and have posted a number of fake listings for testing purposes. None of the listings that I have set to use the "Bold" listing are working.

I checked to see if there is something in the stylesheet that is set for that and am not finding anything, so I would assume that somehow a <strong> element would be placed within the listing, but I don't see that anywhere either.

So in search of trying to discover whether the feature is working or not, I've perused a number of known sites that are also using 68C and although I don't know if any ads on other sites are set to use the bold feature, I'm not seeing any on any 68C site that have any listings that look like they are bold.

Anyone else either know how to fix this, or have experienced the same thing?

Thanks in advance for any help, suggestions or comments.

-Mike

Can somebody at least let me know how this feature is supposed to work, please?

Is it supposed to use a css class or tag it with an html element?

Thanks,
Mike

In v3.1 it adds <strong> tags around each row in the browse listings. Now if you have a style that makes everything bold then it would not show.

Try adding just a bold listing with out featured and highlighted and see if you see the difference.

There are not <strong> tags on bold listings. I do have any <a> tags bolded in my stylesheet. Is that what is bolded as opposed to the whole listing while browsing or a searchresult?

Thanks for the reply.

Can you post a link to a listing that has the bold add on?

This is the browse category "Garage & Yard Sales" page.
http://indianapc.org/category.php?type=14

The first listing: "* Test * Yard for sale" is a bold listing. As you can see it is not and the html does not have any <strong> tag elements for it. Only the link texts are bold as are all link texts as in the ad below it which is not a "bold" listing.

Thanks in advance for your help in resolving this matter.
