Wide screen lcd
 

Well, the wife let me splurge and I got a new computer. My eyesite isnt the best so I rarely run a super high resolution because the test becomes to hard for me to read.

I ended up doing some shopping and determined I could save a few hundred and build my own system which I did and I must say I am very happy with the results. I didnt want to spend the big $$$ on a super high end monitor but I wanted more real estate than my 21" CRT provided so I went with a samsung 225BW 22" wide screen LCD which runs 1680 x 1050 resolution and WOW is it great for working on scripts etc, no more scrolling to the right to get in the long lines of code.

That is all....back to coding :)

You tried any dvds or games on it Larry?

Im thinking of an upgrade soon and am even thinking of going for one of these imacs from apple. Not too sure yet though. But your screen, how is it for blurring and things like that?

I do play city ov heros/villains with a friend of mine who is an artist for the game, smooth motion, no blurring at all. Just fied up a DVD the other day and it looks much better than my 24" tv in the office. Ive got a nVidia 7900GT based graphics card and the system components I chose are SLI certified so when the 7900gt cards get cheaper I will pick up a second and run them in SLI mode.
