Modification so the Add creation page
I'm Sure this is possible but i just want to verify before i purchase.
When the client has purchased an add and is on the path to creating it... can you change the fields they can fill out to whatever you want. Lets say my client wants to place an add for a boat can i modifty it so that the fields are Manufacturer Type Size Draft Purchase price Lease price Location Zip Country Discription Etc. etc. etc. And if it is possible is that done through the admin panel or directly in the tables.. and my second question is if im doing countrys outside the united states for example the bahamas can i change it so that it lists the different islands under it Bahamas Nassau Grand Bahamas Eluthra Etc Etc and once again is that done through the admin page or in the db directly.. |
There are certain predefined fields such as username city, state, address, country, phone etc etc. This can be selectivly displayed or hidden via admin.
Next you can add extra fields (text fields, drop down lists, check boxes etc) from within admin. When creating these fields you also specify what category these fields are linked to. So if your site sells boats and houses you may want make, model, year fields that appear only for the boat categorey and for the house category you can have different fields for sqaure footage etc etc. The countries and states can be editied within admin and are stored in the database. |
Thankyou. my last question is. Is it clearly documented on how to do that. Or do i need to work it out? PHP is one of the few webprogramming languages i dont know much about trying to learn but. This will be a first for me

Its all done via forms in the admin section of the site, no programming, php, html etc knowledge needed. I think its pretty straight forward but Here is a link to the users manual so you can judge for yourself.
