Admin Members

Ok I have this problem

1) a user posts some photo's
2) One of these photo's is a sex photo
3) I want to go into that user account and delete that photo

I have looked all over the place in admin and cannot find any where to do this
In fact I cannot see any photo's for ANY user any where.

I cannot log into the user's account as also there is no where I can see their password to log into their account.

I would have thought that admin as access to all passwords.

I think this is the first time this senerio has been raised so thankyou for doing so.

At present, the only option you have (I believe) is to actually delete the entire entry (via ADMIN). Then send a 'kind' email to the user saying something like ...

Quote:

Dear #user#,
It has been brought to our attention that your #title# listing entered on #date# breaches the user terms and conditions of #oursite#.

Reasons:
1. ..............
2. .................................
3. .....................

The #oursite# site administrator wishes to bring the following points of the #oursite# user terms and conditions to your attention.

1. .................
2. ..............................
3. ..............

The #oursite# user terms and conditions are freely available for all to view at www.oursite.com/usertermsandconditions/. In addition, a 'Terms and Conditions' link is displayed on all pages of #oursite#.

If you believe you have not breached the user terms and conditions of #mysite#, we welcome your appeal (email: [email protected]). Otherwise, we invite you to resubmit your listing keeping in mind our user terms and conditions.

Many thanks

#YourName#
#oursite#
You could keep such an 'email template' as a text file in eg: 'My Documents' on your own computer and copy it to an email as required.

If you know which listing it is, go to Admin panel -> browse listing -> modify images.

Personally, I'd change the photo to some fat whale and change the description to something humiliating. That would probably be the last occurrence from that user account.

I've got the perfect photo some place, somebody switched another moderator’s avatar during testing, and it was hilarious.

Hi Chaslie

Hmmmmmmm that is a LOT of work to do for the admin.
It would be ok if there was only one say BUT if you have a lot of these that just would not be a option.

As you know as well as I do these days there are a lot of fools about who get a kick out of doing these sort of things.
I do not think that there is a IP logging on this script so not much chance of doing a search on logged in ip etc to find the person.

For the life of me I cannot understand WHY in admin you cannot EDIT a user account with ALL options.

Examples

1) See and change a user password.
I know this is coded in the MySql data base BUT
That can be decoded with php and shown in the admin section.
Also I know that a user can get a new password if they have forgot.
But that is not the point for admin

2) WHY does the admin NOT list the posted photo's to a users account?
Like I say if the admin wants to alter any of these then as it is this is
not possiable.

This script is very good other wise apart from a few minor things in the Admin section.

Also I have NEVER found a more helpfull lot of people in the forums.

I hope this can be put on as it is MOST imported to me to be able to have that in admin.

If not then I would be willing to PAY for this to be put in.

Thank you for the info

This can not be decoded through php. When someone logs in it encypts their password then matches the encrypted against the encrypted in the database.

I may be confused as to what photos you are refering to. Is this listing photos?

You can ban members and yesusers ip is updated with every visit, or so I thought.

You can add in a line to insert the ip into the product table for each listing.

It wouldn't be too hard to make a page that pulls all the images for a user though. Sounds like a nice feature. I'll work on that one.

Here is the photo I'd replace it with:

blowhole.jpg

John, did you read my last post?

suzkaw 04-19-2006 09:16 AM

That is funny! :) :D :)

I should replace Blair's avatar with that and see if he notices. ;)

Eric

When a user has joined and posted to the site with say 4 photo's

Now if you goto admin and look at that users account you can see ALL the details for that user except the passord ALSO you CANNOT see the photo's that they have posted in their account.

Like I say if you want to edit the photo's for what ever reason you CANNOT

Oh I see, it is another method of coding then.

In that case how does the "lost password work"
I thought that looked at the user password in the data base and then gave them a new one.
Is that correct?

juven14 04-19-2006 09:24 AM

it creates a new password, sends an email with that password then encrypts it and puts it into the database.
