I have been developing websites for selling property in France for several years and finally took the plunge in moving from a site with static pages to a dynamic site. I was nervous to do so but it has turned out to be without reason. The results are in and 68 classifieds is the best choice I could have made. No doubt about that. In just 3 days I have a fully functional, loaded and search engine friendly site which is up and running. As importantly the search engines like it and customers are coming. The feedback from my customers has been wonderful to hear; all are amazed with the design and functionality of the site. And we all know the "customer is king."

I looked at many, many scripts before settling on 68c. From the nearly $1,000 Swiss Army Knife scripts to the ridiculously sparse, they all had their bells and whistles. But IMO, nothing, no, NOTHING trumps support. When you're having a problem that you can't work out yourself, all the glitter fades in the harsh reality of a broken site. I have found 68c support to be prompt and comprehensive and best of all, they won't stop til the issue is addressed. And that my friends, is what matters most. The BEST classified software available!
I've looked at all the competitors, and even tried some. Most of them are overpriced, offer limited support, and have no community built around them.
68Classifieds is priced very reasonably, offers great technical support, and has an excellent community built around it. 68Classifieds is updated all of the time, which makes it a solid product.
You want more? The administration menu is very easy to use, and the way they built the Smarty templates around the software makes it even more valuable and less time consuming to update. You can easily plug your own template into the software by editing just a few files.

I found 68Classified via a Google ad. At the time I was trying to get to grips with Noah's Classifieds as I had already set up several Joomla sites. I came to the conclusion that there was no meaningful support for Noah's and that I was wasting my time. I realized I would have to look elsewhere as my client was anxious to get going. Your program seemed to offer the basics out of the box, and your support to the few questions I have had has been speedy. The installation also went without a hitch. I have found modifying 68Classified great fun - I hadn't used Smarty Templates before but they are pretty intuitive for the amount of modding I needed. I basically started with the default template and then tweaked it until I got what I wanted. I am reasonably familiar with PHP so that was an advantage. We are really pleased with the results obtained with 68Classified so far, and I believe it is worth every penny of the Developers Edition.

I made a huge mistake purchasing another php classifieds script before I ran across 68 Classifieds. I was lucky and got a refund from the first one I bought. After tinkering with the first one I realize how much of a difference there is. 68 Classifieds is a super script and so user friendly with the most important part of ongoing support and upgrades.
Credit where credit is due . . .
I have only been here a few weeks but have accomplished so much. After struggling for 3 years at Deltascripts I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to deal with a team as professional 68Classifieds!
As it exists now (v3.1.5b) the product is excellent and it promises to get even better with version 4 due soon.
I am most impressed with the help I have received from the forum members, it has been patient, knowledgable and reliable. Perhaps above everything else it is this level of support that should make 68Classifieds your first choice.
Four Year Search
I had my idea four years ago, and went on the proverbial classified script search. Immediately registered the domain (SpeedPony.com) and spent numerous money amounts purchasing and dropping what we will call the competition of 68C.
To make a long story, short, three years later (and losing the domain) I laid SpeedPony to rest. I couldn't do the html and couldn't afford customization. Several months later I tried to resurrect, found 68C and immediately purchased the script. Registered a domain (SpeedPony.net) and was in heaven, just to find out I couldn't do the customization. Frustration took hold, and I once again dropped the project.
68C stayed on my mind for several more months, and I decided to try once again. Even though I was sure I couldn't afford customization, I emailed Eric and he recommended Auscity. Best move I've ever made !!!! The customization, patience and support I got from 68C and Auscity have been phenomenal. Very affordable! (Oh yeah, the day after I re-purchased 68C, my original domain (SpeedPony.com) became available again, and the support helped me get both of these domains pointed to my site).
SpeedPony has finally been born, after four years, and I owe it all to these wonderful people and their products.
Awesome Product... Awesome Support
I looked at several classified ads solutions for over a month of time. I even installed and tested a few of the open source solutions. After weeks of frustration, trial and tribulation I came across 68Classifieds.
Due to the number of previous frustrations, I was very careful to peruse these forums especially the support and presales. I finally took the plunge and purchased both the 68Classifieds Developer version and the PHPbb usershare mod (for forums).

The solution does what it says that it does. Was easy to setup. (I did have an issue after installation, but as it turned out was the fault of my FTP clent that corrupted files on my upload to my web server) This brings me to one of the BEST features of the product that isn't actually listed.
Product Support
The support for 68Classifieds is second to none! As I mentioned above, I did have an issue with the solution after my installation. Although the issue was not with the product, the 68Classifieds support resolved the issue lickety split without any finger pointing or "blame storming".
Since that time, I have used support and the forums for many things. It has exceeded my expectations in all regards. There are not only great "official" support members on the forums, but many very intelligent, helpful loyal 68Classifieds users here.
As a previous technical support manager for a very large computer company, I have to say that the 68Classifieds support is the epitome of what support should be.
The finest there is!
I had searched and searched for months to find a high quality classifieds script, only to be disappointed time and again. Price was not a big factor. In fact, I was so discouraged I had decided to hire a programmer to write a custom script from the ground up. Then I found 68 classifieds.
It has a clean, professional interface, very flexible, highly customizable and the price is simply amazing. Add to that an incredible support system and you have the finest classifieds product out there. I know. I've owned a few from the most popular companies (and paid $$$$$). I found them all to be very inflexible, especially considering the price I paid.
One factor in their success is that the 68 Classifieds product is heavily driven by customer input. They continually shape the product to the needs of their user base. It just keeps getting better and better.
No product can be all things to all people, but 68 is the most flexible system I've ever seen. I have done all of my customization with the designer version using the template system, even some fairly major stuff. If your needs go beyond that (that is, needing changes to the core) you could get the developer version, hire a someone to customize to your liking and still pay a fraction of what others are asking for their stock scripts.
Trust me. It doesn't get any better than this.
