Thanks for you suggestions seymourjames. Unfortunately I'm still getting the expired response. I copied the link to my browser and it returned expired as well... checked the ad in the admin and it has not expired.
I'm using the SEO mod, do you think that might have something to do with it? |

I use it with and without the SEO mod. It works for the others if you read the post. You must be doing something wrong if the advert is live and has not expired. You seem to have another problem.
What happens when you take exactly the same advert and try to click on it from showlistings? Just because the url is in php format should not mean it becomes expired. To test this, take any modified url for an advert from your showlistings. For example I have an advert with id 22. It is the 22 that is unique in the advert (a danger by the way with the SEO module if you do not set it up to use the id number as well or you can easily end up with duplicate urls). http://www.mydomain.com/listing/22/xxxx.html You should get the same if you do this http://www.mydomain.com/viewlisting.php?view=22 Does that work for the advert in question. Does it work for your other adverts? Depending on your answer I would advise putting in a support ticket because it is not the code you are adding but another problem. |

Thanks seymourjames!
The information provided was enough for me to get it working. To summarize: I performed the suggested tests and the ads displayed properly (no expiration messages). Added the code into userbrowselistings.tpl and noticed the "?" was missing when mousing over the hyperlink in my browser and therefore (I think) the reason for receiving the expired listing message. I added a "/" before the "?" in the code and now it works! Thanks again for all of your help. |
