Similar Listings

I saw a neat mod on another WIMPY classified script it's a "similar listing" area that appears on the bottom of a listing. What it does is shows listings that are similar based on category and price.

I like it because if someone is viewing a listing they may click on a similar one. This keeps the user on your site and exposes them to more listings and adwords or whatever your running.

Ok so is this one possible and who's up for a challenge?

That would be a relatively simple mod - there is already a hook in viewlisting.php for it to utilize. We'll write this one up.

Awesome CIV, the way i envision it is to show 3 or 4 thumbnails and titles sorted by category and price. This is something everyone could use and something I'd pay for.

That's how we're doing it, although we'll be including a template file as well so it can be rearranged if anyone desires to do so. The number of similar results returned will also be configurable.
